Hydrogen
Sullom Voe Terminal has potential to be a major hydrogen production hub given its location, access to renewable power and infrastructure
Sullom Voe Terminal
The 1,000 acre Sullom Voe Terminal provides several major advantages for potential development of a hydrogen project.
Renewable Power
The Sullom Voe Terminal site benefits from favourable conditions for development of onshore wind capacity which could be used for green hydrogen production on site.
Long-Term Strategic Positioning
With major offshore and onshore wind developments in the Shetland Islands, and a strategic location with access to UK and European markets, our hydrogen project has multi-stage long-term potential.
NZHF Funding
We were recently awarded grant funding from the UK's Net Zero Hydrogen Fund to complete front-end engineering and design for a hydrogen project at SVT.
Our Community
The Shetland Islands community benefits from a highly skilled workforce and several potential local demand sources for hydrogen based products. We believe our project could address local needs to the benefit of the community.
