Veri Energy is proud to announce a pivotal step in our commitment to transitioning the Sullom Voe Terminal into a new energy hub. With the recent securing of £1.74 million grant from the UK government's Net Zero Hydrogen Fund, we are set to initiate a Front-End Engineering and Design study for a 50MW green hydrogen project at Sullom Voe.

Collaborating with local governments, industries, and the Shetland community, we plan to develop a world-class hydrogen generation facility. This initiative is a cornerstone of our commitment to fuelling Shetland’s net zero ambitions with innovative and sustainable energy solutions.

Salman Malik, CEO of Veri Energy, reflects on this achievement: "This grant is a powerful endorsement of our green hydrogen vision for Sullom Voe and a significant step towards our goal of gigawatt-scale hydrogen production. It's about creating a legacy of sustainability for future generations, ensuring a cleaner, greener Shetland."
